Hello, I'm Amy.
I work with children of 8 years and up, teens, and adults. My focus is in the treatment of mood disorders, including anxiety and depression, life transitions and stress management, and ADHD. It is essential for clients to feel comfortable in order to benefit from their experience. My goal is to ensure that clients feel validated and heard, that they understand everything discussed, and how to apply what they learn in their day-to-day life.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered, with the overall goal of finding relief from whatever challenges clients may be facing. Therapy can be short-term and solution-focused for some, while others find benefit in a more long-term counseling relationship. Many behavior patterns and distressing symptoms can take significant work to adjust lifestyle habits, ways of thinking, and develop effective coping mechanisms. I strive to empower clients with the tools and education they’ve been missing to support positive change and personal growth.

I often bring my two Great Danes, Cookie and Bruno, to the office for socialization, and at client's request. They love to greet everyone, and Bruno is happy to curl up with clients on the couch. Cookie is more timid, but she will always welcome belly rubs and booty scratches!
